Steven Charleston is a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He was the bishop of Alaska for the Episcopal Church. He has served as a professor on three seminary faculties; currently he teaches at the Saint Paul School of Theology in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is recognized as an international advocate for both indigenous people and environmental justice--page 4 of cover.
